Next September, the world will get to meet the second screen iteration of Stephen King‘s iconic creation, first played by Tim Curry in It. I’m talking, of course, about Pennywise, the killer of children who preys on their fears or something like that (look, it’s been a while since I’ve seen it, OK?).
Now, Entertainment Weekly has given fans their first full head-to-toe view of the character as he will appear in the upcoming film, as played by Bill Skarsgård. And why don’t I just skip the funny business and let you take a look at him right away:
As you can see, this is a more darkly-colored take on the scary clown image, as befitting the fact that movies nowadays tend to have a darker color palette than films of old. Other than that, it seems like a clear variant on the Pennywise clown we all know and, I guess, love?
The new version of It comes out on September 8th, 2017, and you can read the Entertainment Weekly piece on the costume right here.
