The Pantone brand is known for the Pantone Matching System, which allows companies and brands from all over the world to coordinate colors via a standardized chromatic coding system. Now, the company has taken its commitment to color coordination one step further, with the Pantone Cafe.
The Pantone Cafe is located in Monaco, and the idea behind it is that every item served fits into a given color within the Pantone Matching System. So instead of just ordering a croissant, you get a “Pantone 16-0924 croissant.” Delicious! It’s part of the Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum and will stay open until next month, but with a little luck color-coded cuisine might just go mainstream within a couple years or so.
Even if you’re not going to be in Monaco this summer, you can get a reasonably adequate idea of what the Pantone Cafe is all about by seeing some photos of it in the gallery below. Additionally, you can check out the cafe’s official site right here.
