‘Opera’: See More Than 40 Opera Houses in One Volume

by Joseph

In 2015, opera can probably be classified as a dying art, at least until Kanye records a record sampling lots of it. But even if you’re not a scholar or casual fan of the art form, you can still appreciate those mega-palaces in which it is practiced. ┬áThat’s the subject of Opera, a new photography book from photographer David Leventi.

Opera features photos of the most beautiful and opulent opera houses in the world, including those in Italy, Argentina, Budapest, and more. All the large-format photos are from a standardized position that even visitors to them don’t normally get to see – that position being center stage, which may be the ideal angle for looking at these impressive structures.

For more details on the book, just check out its listing on Amazon here, where it’s priced at about $32 as of this writing. That’s pretty cheap compared to a worldwide opera house tour, so consider it a bargain.
