The Omega Speedmaster ’57 has only been around for a couple years at most, but the watch has already received a lavish upgrade courtesy of the people at Omega. And they’ve released details and a look at the new version of the watch, both of which are pretty exciting for fans of the Omega brand and of high-quality watches in general.
New features for the updated Omega Speedmaster ’57 include broad-arrow hands and a darker Superluminova coating, as well as a a non-magnetic silicon balance spring that will improve the watch’s already impressive performance. And just like the old watch, the new version is housed in a 41.5 mm sapphire case and is water resistant to up to 100 meters beneath the surface.
Perhaps most importantly, the new Omega Speedmaster ’57 continue’s the brands tradition of handsome and stylish timepieces, as you can see in the recently released photo up at the top of the page. Release details are still to come, but you can get a lot more information on the updated watch over at the Hodinkee watch blog here, and it is expected to be available from select retailers very soon.
