The new generation of James Bond films, starting with the Pierce Brosnan stuff but really kicking into high gear in the Daniel Craig years, have become product placement juggernauts. A small slice of that pie has to do with the watch 007 wears on his wrist, irrespective of whether or not it shoots lasers or shatters glass with ultrasonic sound waves. I don’t think the Omega Seamaster 300 can do any of those things, but Bond will be wearing one in Spectre later this year anyway.
The Omega Seamaster 300 has been favored by 007 since GoldenEye in 1995, but this will be the first time a special edition of the watch will be available to consumers in conjunction with the release of Spectre. Appropriately enough, the watch will be available in a limited edition of 7,007 units.
You can get some more information on the limited Spectre edition Omega Seamaster 300 watch at the official James Bond site here. Unless somebody blows up Omega’s volcano lair between now and next month, the watches will be available in September.
