Perhaps you read about the Level III Pac-Man watch earlier today and decided it was out of your price range. But if your heart is set on a watch commemorating the exploits of another yellow adventurer, good news: There’s an official Dick Tracy watch with a working two-way communicator “radio” (actually a Bluetooth speaker that syncs up to your smartphone) on the way.
Dick Tracy got his two-way wrist radio in 1946, but it’s taken this long for the real-life Diet Smiths of the world to come up with a version that actually lets you hold conversations through it (a non-functioning version of the official Dick Tracy watch came out in 2016).
According to the official Dick Tracy watch website, a crowdfunding campaign to get the watches built and shipped is coming soon, so check it out right here to sign up for updates as they become available. Hopefully a line of Sam Ketcham deli sandwiches will soon follow.
