The popular party game Jenga has probably inspired a countless number of individuals to become architects over the years, but it’s rare that they will ever be afforded an opportunity to make that influence explicit. After all, the Jenga structure is famous for being unstable and falling down all the time.
However, that is all about to change, thanks to architects Herzog & de Meuron, who are set to begin construction on their “Jenga Building” in New York City.
As you can see in the above rendering, the structure will be uncannily similar to the appearance of a Jenga game that’s about two thirds of the way through. Sure, it may look pretty shaky, but looks can be deceiving.
