Okay, I’ll be honest. I wasn’t sure what to think when I first heard that these two brands were collaborating.
Obviously, both companies make nice stuff, but I was wary that the two partnering on a winter release would really run up the score on people’s wallets. Such a fear isn’t out of line. I mean, North Face is more modest than its new partner, but it will still charge a pretty penny for its gear.
And Gucci, I mean—it is a wonder that its retail joints haven’t started charging a cover at the door!
But apparently, the collection starts somewhere around $130—so if you want to get your hands on one of the co-branded jackets for this winter, it hopefully won’t completely bankrupt you.
I’m sure as we learn more about the release there will be a couple of premium options for the high spenders, but all things considered—it looks like things are shaking out fairly well for consumers on this deal.
