April Fool’s Day has come and gone, but we can get plenty of postseason foolishness from Nike and its two new “What The” colorways.
There’s the “What The LeBron” 11 and the “What The KD” 6, both with crackpot combinations of myriad sneakers and colorways of the past in the finest “What The” tradition.
The new “What The LeBron” 11 boasts a total of eight previously seen design elements in its construction, plus 20 graphical and chromatic allusions to previous editions of the sneaker. Just one example is the Akron, Ohio map graphic seen on the LeBron 5.
As for the “What The KD” 6, there are even more ingredients, taken from 35 different touches from previous versions of the KD 6.
But descriptions fail when attempting to convey sneakers this weird, so you might just want to take a look at the Nike “What The LeBron” 11 and “What The KD” 6 in the gallery up at the top. The LeBron is set to hit select retailers on May 31st, while the KD is scheduled for a June 7th drop. And, in case you were wondering, matching t-shirts will be available as well.
