Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers is just 22 years old, but he already has a signature Nike sneaker to his name, recently given the official unveiling treatment by the company. It’s the Nike KYRIE 1, a new silhouette from Nike designer Leo Chang.
The Nike KYRIE 1 sports design aspects like a Nike Zoom Air cushion in the forefoot, a Hyperfuse upper, and a sturdy grip that extends around the entire body of the sneaker. Then there are the smaller signature components that make the shoe Irving’s own, like his official logo on the tongue and his “JBY” (“Just Be You”) slogan featured prominently.
You can take a look at the Nike KYRIE 1, in two introductory colorways (“Deceptive Red” and “Dream”), in the gallery below. And underneath that, you can see the unveiling video from Nike. The Nike KYRIE 1 “Dream” will be available from select retailers on December 23rd, while the “Deceptive Red” iteration will hit shelves early next year on January 10th. Custom editions are also available now from the NIKEiD online store here.
