You’re probably familiar with that one episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where Larry David decides to start dressing like he’s going golfing, whether he’s actually going golfing or not. Predictably, it gets him into all kinds of social trouble when people assume that he has to be going golfing, because why else would anyone dress like that unless they were? Someone at Nike must have seen this episode and had an epiphany, because now there’s the Nike Golf Club apparel collection, designed for wear on the course or on the street.
Whether or not the inaugural Nike Golf Club collection actually succeeds in that goal is a matter of opinion, but the accompanying lookbook makes a pretty good case. It shows pieces like the Swing Movement Polo, the N98 Track Jacket, the AW77 Full-Zip Hoody and the Washed Dot Shorts in crisp black and white, and they look good enough to appease even Larry David’s famously prickly acquaintances.
You can see what I mean by taking a look at the first ever Nike Golf Club collection lookbook in the gallery below. The collection is set to hit select Nike retailers on March 23rd, but before then you can take a look at the official announcement of the collection over at the Nike News site here.
