Nike is rolling out a new four-part sneaker release to pay homage to the 1992 U.S. Men’s Olympic basketball team.
The 1992 U.S. Men’s Olympic basketball team, often referred to as the “Dream Team”, took home the gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics and defeated their competition by an average of 44 points—setting a record that has yet to be beaten. The team included the the likes of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Karl Malone, and Magic Johnson—each and every one of them legends in the world of sports.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their victory, Nike will first be putting out the Nike Air Force 180, which is based on Charles Barkley’s aggressive game and sports a patriotic red, white, and blue color scheme for the American flag. The high-top design also sports the Air logo in huge font down the side paneling.
The shoes are set to drop in July, but you can pre-order them from certain retail outlets starting today.
