A couple of years ago, attentive sneakerheads noticed that director Spike Lee appeared to be wearing an exclusive pair of Nike Air Foamposite Ones in the team colors of (who else?) the New York Knicks. Rumors almost immediately began to swirl that a general release version of the sneaker was being developed, and now the Nike Air Foamposite One “Knicks” is finally here.
The Nike Air Foamposite One “Knicks” combines an orange upper with prominent royal blue accents, all sitting on top of an outsole in a translucent blue. Spike’s insignias aren’t anywhere to be found, though, replaced by former Knick Penny Hardaway’s “one-cent” logo on a couple of spots on the sneaker.
In the gallery below, you can see the Nike Air Foamposite One “Knicks” from a variety of angles. If you think it holds up to scrutiny, mark your calendar for November 26th, when the sneaker is set to hit select retailers including this one.
