The Need for Speed franchise, which now includes a feature film, don’t forget, is getting a full reboot in video game form coming in the fall of 2015. Now, a short teaser for the game has been released, giving fans a taste of the reboot’s newly refocused priorities on game elements like “authentic urban car culture” and “an immersive narrative.”
Those quotations come directly from EA, the company behind Need for Speed, but it’s the teaser itself that will probably make the mouths of driving game fans water. It shows a glorious nighttime cityscape populated by superfast cars, often being pursued by cops, and the combination of all these elements is so intoxicating that after you watch it you probably shouldn’t drive a real car before 30 minutes or so have passed.
If you’ve got that much time to spare, you can watch the just-over-30-seconds Need for Speed reboot teaser below. And for more on the game, head here to the official Need for Speed site.
