Anyone who rents an apartment knows that the rent, as they say, is too damn high. But nowhere is this more true than in New York City, where the rent is notoriously expensive as a result of the fact that practically everyone on planet Earth wants to live there. So it makes sense that the trend of “micro apartments” would start out in the Big Apple, in the form of My Micro NY.
My Micro NY will provide the most adventurous/desperate tenants of New York City with an apartment ranging in square footage from 260 to 360 feet, which will be part of a larger superstructure that includes amenities like balconies, giant windows, and space for storage. The rent will be an affordable (or, for those of us who don’t live in New York, “affordable”) $2000 to $3000 a month.
