Classic, old-fashioned whodunits of the variety produced by Agatha Christie have always been, and probably always will be, popular on the page and on the small screen, but the heyday of the big screen mystery went away around the same time people started being able to tune in to these types of entertainments at home. It may possibly see a renaissance, though, with a new big screen adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.
The new trailer for Murder on the Orient Express treats Kenneth Branagh’s (who also directs) Hercule Poirot as the detective icon he is, treating its two and a half minutes as a grand entrance for the world famous detective. It also gives you a nice rundown of the suspects, in case you want to get a jump on Poirot in finding the guilty party and/or parties.
