If I were to try to think about two games that are pretty much the exact opposite of one another, Mario Kart and Monopoly may spring to mind. One is a high speed racing video game, the other is a notoriously slow real estate game designed during an era when the general public possessed the attention span necessary to pay attention to fictional stories on the radio. One is geared towards come-from-behind surprise finishes, the other is more interested in replicating the feeling of being one step away from total financial ruin in board game form. One features Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, and a host of other Nintendo favorite characters, the other just has Rich Uncle Pennybags taunting players and goading them to flip the board and storm off in a huff. So Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart is something of an inspired pairing.
Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart has all kinds of nifty Mario Kart-inspired features, like power-ups, races, and unique tokens with their own particular strengths and weaknesses. Check the game out here, where a copy is priced at just a little under thirty bucks.
