Just to avoid some nasty disappointment later on, I’m going to start off with the bad news: No, the service being discussed here does not allow you to acquire a LEGO minifigure in your own likeness. What Mini-You does let you do is get a photo of yourself in LEGO form, which is almost as good, I guess.
Mini-You works like this: You choose the photo of yourself (or someone else, if you’re feeling selfless) you think is best suited for the LEGO treatment. You upload it to the site, customize it to you specifications, and once you’re done you’ll have a copy of the photo in ten days.
You can check out Mini-You over at the Two Three Bricks LEGO fan site right here, where you can get a good idea of all the different customization options available to you. Prices start at five bucks, which isn’t too bad, and maybe one day you’ll actually get to hold a real LEGO minifigure based on you in your hand.
