A special pair of Air Jordan 11 sneakers is now up for auction, and will be for more than two weeks. Right now (as of this writing), the bidding has reached $6,655. That might seem like an inflated figure, until you realize that these sneakers were not only autographed by Michael Jordan himself, but worn by him during the 1996 NBA Finals, the heart of the famous Chicago Bulls three-peat.
The colorway worn by Michael Jordan during that hallowed series was the Air Jordan 11 “Playoff,” and sports Jordan’s signature in striking silver near the heel of one of the sneakers. That makes it an essential piece of memorabilia in some circles.
If you consider yourself to be a part of one of those circles, you might want to head over to the Grey Flannel Auctions listing of the Michael Jordan game-worn and autographed Air Jordan 11 sneakers here, where you have until the evening of June 18th to place a bid.
