Basketball legend Michael Jordan has had a great deal of success over the course of his career, and in the wake of his recent 50th birthday, he’s made a big purchase: A $2.8 million, 12,310-square-foot mansion on Lake Norman in North Carolina.

While that sounds like a lot of money to you or me, it was actually quite a bargain, as the foreclosed home was listed at almost $3.5 million before MJ made his purchase.

It’s all part of a virtual fleet of homes purchased by Michael Jordan, including one in Charlotte, North Carolina, another in Jupiter, Florida, another in Salt Lake City, and still another in Chicago (that he’s currently trying to sell). You can take a look at his most recent acquisition in the gallery up top.
