A couple weeks back Google unveiled its proprietary self-driving concept car prototype, and now Mercedes-Benz has put a luxurious spin on the self-driving car. It’s the Mercedes-Benz F 015, a project also known as Luxury in Motion and recently unveiled at CES in Las Vegas.
Since the Mercedes-Benz F 015 drives itself, the company has an enormous amount of space inside the car that can be devoted entirely to comfort and luxury. Six massive, interactive displays can be found inside, allowing for gesture-based control and eyeball-tracking—and in a world with increasingly long commutes, time spent driving to and from work could become very productive as well as comfortable.
The Mercedes-Benz F 015 is part of a larger plan by the company that takes into account trends toward self-driving vehicles, but the specifics of that plan are still to come. You can get some more info on the car at an article on the unveiling here, as well as the photos and videos below.
