Here’s a car that you don’t have to be an automotive buff to appreciate. The Special Operations X-1 Concept car from McLaren looks like something out of a science fiction movie. Designed as a one-of-a-kind custom exclusive for an anonymous buyer, the X-1 combines retro-futuristic design elements with the supercar performance one would expect from McLaren.

What you can’t see in the above photo is the interior, decked out in Harissa Red McLaren Nappa leather, carbon fiber and aluminum. We don’t know how much Mr. or Mrs. X paid for this car, but it was probably a lot, given the fact that the vast majority of the car’s components are custom.
