Rumors (even some propagated by this very site) of a McDonald’s secret menu have been floating around for years now. But they’ve recently been confirmed by a quasi-official source – the manager of a McDonald’s restaurant in Scotland who recently participated in an AMA (“Ask Me Anything”) on Reddit.
The manager elaborated on the McDonald’s secret menu’s unofficial origins, and clarified that even if employees at your local Mickey D’s don’t know the fabled secret menu items by name (like “Land, Air and Sea burger or the McGangBang”), if you explain what it is you want and are willing to pay, they’ll make it for you. Does that mean you can create your own secret menu items from existing McDonald’s menu items? It kind of sounds like it.
Wait – “McGangBang?” What in the world is that? Apparently, it’s a double cheeseburger with a Spicy McChicken shoved into the middle. I hate myself for this, but I may actually have to try that. If you feel similarly, you might want to check out more tips on the McDonald’s secret menu over at the Reddit AMA here. And may God help you if you actually eat an entire McGangBang.
