Once upon a time, Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg could not have been further apart from each other on the cultural radar. But time goes by, and bodies have a tendency to drift closer together if conditions are right. And those conditions have now led to Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party, a collaborative cooking show between the two that’s coming to VH1 this fall:
“My homegirl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back. We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”
That’s Snoop, in case you couldn’t tell, who will help Martha “redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way” according to her statement to Variety on the project. This won’t be the pair’s first collaboration, however, having appeared together on Martha’s TV show as well as the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber last year.
Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party will feature the pair hosting a dinner party for various celebrity guests each week, making it a perfect show to veg out in front of—I can already tell. You can read a bit more about the show in Variety right here, and stay tuned to VH1 this fall to see it, probably followed by 5-10 solid years of reruns.
