The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star has long been the sneaker of choice for misfits, creative types, and other idiosyncratic members of the population, and now Converse has launched a new ad campaign showing the fruits of that association over the years. It’s called “Made By You,” and the first look at the campaign features artists like Andy Warhol, Futura, Glenn O’Brien, and more.
You probably noticed that none of the artists featured in Converse’s “Made By You” campaign are, uh, you, but the implication is that anyone can make a pair of Chucks their own, which is a cool idea. The jury might be out on whether the average Converse consumer can design a sneaker as well as Andy Warhol, though.
You can check out some of the new Converse “Made By You” campaign in the gallery below. And for more from Converse, head over to the brand’s official site right here. Then, all you have to do is get yourself a pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars and start getting creative. Who knows? It’s possible that you could be the next bright star of the art world because of something you drew on your sneakers.
