Great news for both people who love to drink outrageously expensive milkshakes and those hoping for the speedy overthrow of capitalism: New York restaurant Serendipity 3 has unveiled the LUXE Milkshake, certified by Guinness World Records as the most expensive shake in the world.
Each $100 LUXE Milkshake will come in a custom glass encrusted with more than 3,000 Swarovski crystals, but it’s the premium ingredients assembled by chef Joe Calderone that gives it is special price tag, and, hopefully, its next-level deliciousness:
- Jersey milk
- Tahitian vanilla ice cream
- Devonshire luxury clotted cream
- Madagascar vanilla beans
- 23 karat edible gold
- Whipped cream
- Le Cremose Baldizzone (donkey caramel sauce)
- Luxardo Gourmet Maraschino Cherries
I’ve had some pretty good milkshakes in my day, but I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than eight bucks for one (and that’s a lot to spend on a milkshake if you think about it). And this is all I will say on the subject: For $100, the LUXE Milkshake better beat them all to hell in every conceivable way.
