Louis Vuitton Moët Henness, commonly known as LVMH, is expanding its luxury resort brand to the Maldives – more specifically, the island of Randheli in Noonu Atoll. The resort, which will consist of 46 luxury villas, is now under construction on the tropical island paradise.
Regarding the decision by LVMH and other companies to begin opening up luxury resorts in Maldives, Maleeh Jamal, the island nation’s deputy minister of tourism, arts and culture, had the following to say:
“Maldives has become the birthplace of tourism innovation.”
Also good news for travel enthusiasts: You won’t have too long to wait before this new resort is open to the public, as it’s scheduled to be open at some point in 2013.
