Louis Vuitton has unveiled the new “Flyback” Tambour Automatic Chronograph. Distinguished by a strong design, which includes an asphalt-colored black dial, two auxiliary counters, and an 1960s military motif with yellow chronographs of the 1960s and a bright yellow hand, the Flyback is reminiscent of military airplane cockpits.
The Flyback allows you to reset the timing and restart another instantly by pressing and immediately releasing the reset button without needing to activate the stop button—a boon for aviation enthusiasts everywhere. The watch itself is powered by an LV 137 automatic caliber developed in Dubois-Dépraz Swiss workshops and offers a 42 hour power reserve and a date window positioned between four and five o’clock.
The Flyback has an extremely limited run of 888 numbered pieces, and each is housed in a Tambour 44mm steel case. It’s going to be difficult to find them after they run out of units, so keep an eye out for it.
