We all remember fondly the 2010 film Tron: Legacy, one of the “new classics” of contemporary cinema. And yet, for some reason, store shelves have been curiously free of toys and other merchandise based on the movie – for instance, it’s taken almost two whole years for this LEGO Tron: Legacy Light Cycle to go into production.
The LEGO Tron: Legacy Light Cycle was first designed by BrickBros UK for the LEGO Ideas site, where project proposals get the chance to be turned into real LEGO creations. And so it happened with the Light Cycle, probably because LEGO could only fight back the crushing tide of Tron: Legacy superfans for so long before relenting and putting this baby on the market.
Pricing and other release details are “still being worked on,” but stay tuned to the LEGO Tron: Legacy Light Cycle’s LEGO Ideas listing here for more of those details as they get hammered out.
