Photographer Domenico Franco has taken to the streets of Rome to answer one question and one question only: “What if actual objects in our lives were made of LEGO, but giant-sized?” And this investigation resulted in LEGO Outside LEGOLAND, a new photo series from the artist that answers that question visually.
LEGO Outside LEGOLAND is mostly focused on imagining LEGO vehicles as they would exist if they were the same size as their real-life counterparts. This makes the LEGOLAND allusion apt, and it also makes you realize how much more wonderful this would could be if everything were made out of LEGO—aside from a few difficulties for the automotive industry.
I’ve compiled a few of my favorite LEGO Outside LEGOLAND photos in the gallery below for your viewing pleasure. To see the rest of the series, as well as more of Franco’s work (including the first installment of this now two-part series), check it out on Behance right here.
