Let’s just be honest: Most of us will probably never be able to afford a Ferrari F40 or any other comparable Ferrari automobile. But there is a much more plausible way one can be ours, and it doesn’t involve even the possibility of getting charged with grand theft auto. It’s the LEGO Ferrari F40, an officially licensed LEGO replica of the car.
The LEGO Ferrari F40 renders in building brick form the last automobile personally approved by Enzo Ferrari back in the late 1980s, and it boasts an attention to detail typical of both Ferrari and LEGO. Some of those details include pop-up headlights and a removable replica V8 engine.
This isn’t some LEGO toy for kids, either – the LEGO Ferrari F40 is part of the brand’s Creator line recommended for “expert” LEGO engineers, so you might need to find a 14-year-old to help you put it together. You can get a closer look at the set, with its MSRP of just under $100 and a release date on August 1st, over at the LEGO online store here.
