The French tennis brand Le Coq Sportif has unveiled their slate of shoes for winter 2012, and it is a return to their mid-80s heyday. The Eclat hasn’t been on the market since 1985, but the brand is bringing it back in three new colorways, all of which can be seen via the above image.
Constructed from suede and nylon, the Eclat has retro characteristics, as well as high-performance construction. An example of the latter can be seen in the specially layered heel, which is designed to fade right into the forefoot in order to help bring about high running speeds for those wearing the sneakers. Unfortunately, there aren’t any plans to release the shoe in the States, but you can get it from select European online retailers, like Crooked Tongues.
