As one of the pioneers of the age of the selfie, Kim Kardashian is currently reaping the benefits of that trend, with an entire book of her selfies and now a Super Bowl commercial. Of the two, I expect Kim Kardashian’s T-Mobile Super Bowl ad to get the most mainstream acceptance, since it’s sort of making fun of her selfies while celebrating them at the same time.
Promoting the company’s “Data Stash” program, Kim Kardashian’s T-Mobile Super Bowl commercial takes the form of a faux call to action for a good cause – in this case, all the selfie-ready data tragically lost at the end of each month at the hands of other service providers. It’s kind of funny, although I doubt anyone expects it to Break the Internet.
