Since you’re on the internet right now, it’s a near certainty that you’re aware of Sony‘s decision to pull The Interview from theaters in the wake of public threats of violence by the hackers that compromised the company’s internal computer security. The controversy over this decision is still ongoing, but unfortunately the vast majority of participants in the debate haven’t seen the movie. Now, the highly anticipated Kim Jong-un death scene has been leaked, so you can judge at least that part of it for yourself.
It’s kind of ironic that a controversy that has largely come about from weaknesses in online security is culminating in a movie scene getting leaked, but I guess that’s just the world we live in. Well, maybe “culminating” is the wrong word, since this is probably far from over, but the point is you can watch Kim Jong-un’s head explode if you want to, cyber-bullies be damned.
