One of the cornerstones of Jean-Claude Van Damme‘s filmography is Kickboxer, which contributed to his global stardom back in 1989 and spawned several sequels. Now, it’s also getting a reboot that nevertheless also stars Jean-Claude Van Damme (but playing a different character), entitled Kickboxer: Vengeance.
A trailer for Kickboxer: Vengeance is now on the internet, and it highlights the cast made up largely of former UFC stars as well as Van Damme, who plays the martial arts mentor to Kurt Sloane, who enters a kickboxing tournament to avenge the death of his brother. It’s also got a lot of kicking in it, so if you’re into kicking, you should probably check it out.
