As far as 20th century pop culture icons go, they don’t get much more ubiquitous than Marilyn Monroe. So it actually kind of makes sense to see Kate Upton and Vanity Fair go to that particular well for the cover of their 100th anniversary issue (seen above).
The cover story also includes an interview with Upton, during which she talks about the various ups and downs of her phenomenal modeling career. As for further 100th anniversary celebrations on the part of Vanity Fair, the magazine is pulling out all the stops with a series of short films and they are also making available some digitally archived back issues, dating all the way back to 1918.
Check out the special 100th anniversary edition of Vanity Fair, with Kate Upton as Marilyn Monroe on the cover, on newsstands soon.
