Previews for upcoming footwear lines are pretty commonplace, especially thanks to the internet. But they usually consist of photographs, with very little artistic flair. So UK boutique, The Chimp Store, has decided to go a different route, hiring artist Josh Parkin to produce a series of illustrated previews for the upcoming Nike spring/summer 2013 collection.
The preview depicts sneakers like the Air Max 1, the Air Max 90, and more, each in their own whimsical, cartoonish environment. There’s a sneaker being used as a wrecking ball, a sneaker depicted on a church’s stained glass window, and a sneaker making a substitution (surprisingly, not for the shark) on the famous Jaws poster.
You can check out all of the illustrations in the gallery above – and head to select retailers like The Chimp Store, where the depicted Nike sneakers should be available soon.
