Anyone who has even a tangential awareness of the sneaker world knows that the Air Jordan III is one of the most beloved sneakers of all time. And for the foreseeable future you’ll have to really love it in order to get a pair, because new versions of the Air Jordan III are being taken off the market indefinitely.
The news comes straight from Jordan Brand VP of Footwear David Schechter, who broke the news at a Jordan Brand press event: “The Air Jordan 3 is going back in the vault. The last color just dropped.” That last color would be the “Sport Blue” Air Jordan III, which came out earlier this month.
Schechter also says that when the Air Jordan III returns it will be in a completely new, “remastered” form, which could be good news or bad news depending on your perspective. But we all know the Air Jordan III will continue to live on in our hearts, as well as in new sneakers like the Nike Court Zoom Vapor AJ3 by Jordan.
