By now I’m almost certain you’ve heard about Jay-Z‘s legendary series of concerts that helped open the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. However, many of you may still be in the dark when it comes to the process that led up to those eight shows. Well, we’re about to help shed some light on that process, thanks to a new YouTube documentary chronicling just that.
The 24-minute documentary is part of Jay’s Life + Times series. It’s called “Where I’m From,” and you can check it out for yourself below. The film has a lot of footage of concert soundchecks and stuff like that, but one highlight has Jay getting on the subway and sitting next to a woman who doesn’t know who he is…at least at first (you can skip to that part at about the 19:25 mark).
