Believe it or not, the Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee has been churning out whiskey for 150 years now, and as we all know the Jack Daniel’s brand is never one to ignore an important anniversary. And so we have Jack Daniel’s 150th Anniversary, a special edition Tennessee whiskey released in commemoration of the occasion.
Jack Daniel’s 150th Anniversary whiskey isn’t some cheap cash-in, but instead a unique product with the brand’s Old No. 7 grain bill – that’s 0% corn, 12% barley, and 8% rye -but barreled and bottled at 100 proof for a flavor, texture, and drinking experience all its own, said to contain flavor notes of butterscotch and toffee.
A bottle of Jack Daniel’s 150th Anniversary Tennessee Whiskey will set you back $100, but even if you don’t feel like dropping that much on a celebratory bender you can check out more of the JD festivities at the brand’s official anniversary site right here.
