When Dunkirk came out earlier this summer and was accompanied by a “virtual reality experience” to promote the movie, I admit I was skeptical about the tastefulness of such an enterprise, given the subject matter of the film. But IT, the upcoming horror movie based on the novel by Stephen King, is much more suited to its own VR experience, entitled IT: FLOAT.
Those familiar with Pennywise’s MO will recognize immediately what the title IT: FLOAT right away, but if you’re going into the movie fresh (and have managed to avoid any of the trailers for it so far), you should know that it has nothing at all to do with ice cream and soda.
You can play IT: FLOAT below. Billed as a “cinematic VR experience,” it’s merely a prelude to the cinematic cinematic experience of IT, which hits theaters next month. In the meantime, you can take a look at the movie’s official site right here.
