One somewhat interesting trend in smartphones and other mobile devices has been that they’ve gotten bigger rather than smaller, as people spend more time consuming visual media on their phones and are thus interested in bigger and bigger screens to do so. But at Apple‘s recent Cupertino event, viewers were surprised to see the iPhone SE, a smaller, cheaper alternative to bigger phones like the iPhone 6.
The iPhone SE is inspired by Apple’s older iPhone 5s design, with a smaller screen for users who aren’t looking to acquaint themselves with the films of David Lean on train commutes. Technical specs released by Apple include the SE’s 12MP iSight camera, A9 chip, M9 motion processor, availability in both 16GB and 64GB versions, Touch ID, and much more.
You can see just how much more at Apple’s official site for the iPhone SE right here, where pre-orders will be taken on March 24th – $399 for the 16GB, and $499 for the 64GB.
