Even though the official iPad Air announcement from Apple is more than a week away, a substantial set of details and pictures allegedly pertaining to the iPad Air 2 have been released to the internet.
The details include an upgrade to the iPad Air’s 5-megapixel camera which will reportedly be 8 megapixels on the iPad Air 2, Touch ID in the home button, a gold color variant, two gigabytes of memory, and a lot more. All in all, the iPad Air 2 looks to be an improvement over the original Apple tablet across a variety of dimensions, including processing power, storage capacity, and visual style.
Speaking of visual style, a few photos of what’s supposed to be the iPad Air 2 were released by Mashable. As for Apple, they haven’t commented on whether or not the details and photos pertaining to the iPad Air 2 are accurate or not, and we can probably expect them to remain silent on the subject until the scheduled October 16th iPad Air announcement.
