Tomorrow, Led Zeppelin is reissuing a remastered version of their 2003 (but don’t worry, recorded in 1972) live album How the West Was Won. Today, the band is winning a small sliver of the West in advance by releasing a track from the reissue, the always crowd-pleasing “Immigrant Song.”
Audiophiles may be interested to hear this live cut of “Immigrant Song” in remastered form, but for the rest of us it’s simply an excuse to listen to, as iHeartRadio’s Andrew Magnotta puts it:
“The remastered version of ‘Immigrant Song’ depicts the band beginning to realize its arena rock potential. The band shines on this version of the tune, bashing out the song’s iconic main riff in between epic choruses and then launching into a psychedelic bridge guitar solo.”
You can hear the newly remastered “Immigrant Song (Live)” below. And the new deluxe editions of How the West Was Won come out tomorrow.
