You’ve probably heard of ICEHOTEL, the annual attraction/artistic project in the village of Jukkasjärvi, Sweden that gets an estimated 50,000 visitors. If you haven’t, it’s a giant hotel made almost completely from ice, an impressive feat of engineering that is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. And the ante is being upped considerably with the unveiling of the hotel’s “art suites,” designed with input from an exclusive group of artists and designers from around the world.
The ICEHOTEL art suites are basically hotel suites that double as full-size art installations, be they sculptural, typographical, or luminous in nature. It’s a strong showing from the people behind the project, and a fitting tribute to ICEHOTEL’s 25th year in existence.
You can see a few photos of the ICEHOTEL art suites in the gallery at the bottom of this page. And for more information, head over to ICEHOTEL’s official website right here.
