We all know that computer generated imagery is getting more and more advanced and realistic by the day. Even so, most people probably think they can tell a computer generated image from a “real” one, especially if they have plenty of time to concentrate on it. But #HYPERREALCG is a new website curated by David OReilly & Kim Laughton that proves that that isn’t the case, and will probably have you questioning reality itself in the process.
#HYPERREALCG compiles computer generated images from a variety of different artists, all of which have seemingly only one requirement for inclusion: To look mind-blowingly real. So real, in fact, that the skeptical part of me wonders if they might not be CGI at all, particularly the ones showing human faces.
