You might remember the “Be More Human” advertising campaign from Reebok, which equates humanity with physical exercise. From what I can tell, the Human app isn’t directly affiliated with Reebok, but it is in the same general vein, aiming to encourage users to hit at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day.
Human uses the sensors inside the iPhone to determine how much physical activity the user performs – like walking, riding a bike, or anything else that causes the iPhone to move around (no cheating!) – with the end goal being 30 minutes per day. It probably won’t result in Jared-level weight loss, at least not all on its own, but it is a good way to keep your body from sliding completely into decay and entropy.
The Human app also has a social networking component that lets you invite friends to join you in your quest for 30 minutes of exercise every day. You can get a lot more information on Human at the app’s official site right here, but you might want to take a walk around the block first.
