Fans of quality television that can show boobs and use profanity have long wished for a way to subscribe to HBO without having to pay for a larger (and expensive) cable package. Now, there is just such a service, albeit for Apple users only – it’s HBO NOW, a newly announced service that will be hitting Apple devices sometime in early April.
HBO NOW will offer users the channel’s wealth of original programming as well as movies, comedy specials, documentaries, and more, for $14.99 a month. So, cheaper than a cable subscription, but still more expensive than mooching off of your parents’ HBO GO. Still, it might be time to cut that particular umbilical cord, don’t you think?
HBO NOW won’t be available until next month, but then you’ll be able to watch HBO programming on your iPads and Apple TVs to your heart’s content. For now, you can watch a short promotional video on the service below. And for more information, head over to the official HBO site here.
