The Google Chrome Music Lab is designed as a space on the internet where anybody can learn about music and how it works, and now there’s a new feature that goes beyond education and into the field of actual music-making. It’s called Google Song Maker, and you don’t even need a Google account, let alone any apps or software, to use it.
Google Song Maker is billed as “a simple way for anyone to make and share a song,” and can be used in myriad ways, from your smartphone or tablet to your laptop or even an actual MIDI keyboard. The feature was introduced by way of a video, which you can see for yourself below:
If you’re ready to enter the recording studio, you can check out Google Song Maker at Chrome Music Lab right here, and start churning out masterpieces of your own. Next stop: A Rick Rubin collaboration.
