Google has kicked up the automatic photo cloud storage to the next level with their new photo app. It’s called, simply enough, Google Photos, and it seems to be doing for pictures what Gmail did for email, with unlimited storage and automatic cloud backup, as well as a host of other cutting-edge features courtesy of the Google wizards.
Google Photos uses advanced photographic recognition technology to index and file your photos in a system that’s completely searchable, so you can sort and find old photos without even having to have tagged them accurately in the first place. As this technology gets more and more advanced, it’s really only a matter of time before we won’t even have to look at photos, since a machine will do that for us.
Just kidding (I think), so if you want to check out Google Photos for yourself you can get it for free right here, where you can also get a lot more info on what Google Photos can do.
